NOT FEELING IT
BY WALLACE CALEB BATES
Some days, I do not feel like writing. I sit here, hands resting on the keyboard, and nothing stirs.
I have learned that some days, it is okay to let the silence win. The words may need time to settle, and I may need time to listen.
So today, instead of writing a long piece full of meaning and insight, I am writing this: a simple acknowledgment that not every day is for words. And that is okay.
Tomorrow, they may come easier. Perhaps they will not. Either way, the stories are still in me, waiting.
