SLOW GOING
BY WALLACE CALEB BATES
I want to share something from today: brunch with my aunt. She tried her hand at making biscuits and gravy for the first time, and she nailed it.
We sat around the table, laughing and talking, and it felt like the kind of morning you want to bottle up and keep.
Tomorrow, I will be heading to church, taking some time to rest, and then heading into town for a Memorial Day event.
I am grateful for quiet moments, new memories, and the chance to honor those who served.
